Fall Season 2008 Girls on the Run of Deschutes County plans to offer two sites in Fall of 2008. The community 5K that both groups will take part in will likely be the Jingle Bell Run which is scheduled for the morning of Saturday, December 6th. Registration is open and will fill on a first-come-first-serve basis. Forms can be down-loaded below.
Girls on the Run (for 8-11 year olds) will meet twice weekly at High Lakes Elementary! Start date is scheduled for September 3rd. Program will run for twelve weeks. We will meet in Mr. Baxter's Room in Red Lake and will proceed to an outdoor field. Registration fee: $150. Mondays: 3:45-5:00pm & Wednesdays: 2:15pm-3:30pm
Girls on Track (for 12-14 year olds) will meet twice weekly at the Boys and Girls Club in downtown Bend. Start date is scheduled for September 23rd. An informational meeting for girls will be held at the club on Sept. 11th at 5pm. Additionally, a parent meeting will be held at the club on Sept. 17th at 6pm. Program will run for 10 weeks. We will proceed to either Troy Field or Drake Park for running games and workouts. Registration fee: $125. Tuesdays & Thursdays: 4:30-5:45pm ROOM IS AVAILABLE - SIGN UP NOW!

Program Fee The program fees for the 20-24 lesson curriculum are listed above. Full and partial scholarships are available! A limited number of New Balance shoes are also available to program participants in great need. The fee includes:
Delivery of the 10-12 week curriculum by Certified GOTR coaches
Water bottle
Healthy snacks provided at each lesson
Race t-shirt
Race entry fees
Opportunity to bond with adult mentor "Running Buddies"
Attendance at an end-of-season celebration
Please note all Head Coaches are CPR/First Aid Certified and all volunteers submit applications and are background checked. Safety is a top priority!
